EXCITING NEWS FROM MIKADO - a new LOGO electric heli!

Please note:

• The only products available NOW (early 2003) are:
  • the longer boom upgrade set for the LOGO 10 and
  • the 138-teeth main gear (with matching pinions) for LOGO16/ 20 as spare parts.
• The remaining upgrades for the LOGO 16/20 will be available possibly in March/April.
• The LOGO 24 Bionic kit: possibly May

The BIG news: Today (Jan. 30, '03) at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair, Mikado will be revealing their long awaited LOGO 24 "Bionic". This 24-28 cell heli is bigger than the LOGO 20 and current owners of the "20" can upgrade to this new heli in steps. A good motor for this heli will be the Pletti 300/30/A4H, I think. Not really surprising to me is the completely redesigned frame, which has a rounded shape similar to the LOGO 10, because eliminating the now dormant servo rocker box has made the frame much simpler and lighter! However it also made of carbon fiber! It's wider, much more rigid, and thus gives very good flight performance. The 3 cyclic servos will now fit into cutouts in the frame sides. The new canopy looks like an F-16 and a bird of prey had a child!. Other features include a carbon fiber tail boom, tail boom mounted servo, larger (100/70) rotor head, and carbon stabilizers. There is a handy gyro platform at the rear of the frame.
