Do you have a Mikado LOGO electric heli that makes GLOW fliers say, "Wow!"? If so, and if it is at least a little different from one already listed, please fill out the form below (not there yet) or email me with all the required info and I will post it here. If youfeel that you have a good beginners setup, please state that this is so in the comments field. |
This is not meant to be of assistance for beginning pilots, for often enough a hot setup will not work as well at lower power levels and might overheat the equipment. Ask around for a beginners setup, i.e. tamer motor, less cells, smaller pinion if you are starting out with your first heli. Some "hot" motors will just not work that well when used at a lower power level. |

tried, but exhibits a good balance between flight times and
flight power for heavy aerobatics/3D. The ESC is using
timing mode3 and expert speed regulation in governor mode.

modification(prototype-with steel balls and cupped

Shack #273-240 12 VDC Micro brushless cooling fan. Comments: This set-up is VERY hot. Aerobatic performance is on par
with a competition 3D glow model. The motor is very warm
(145-165 degrees F) after flight and the batteries should be
cooled immediately after flight. No adverse effects on
batteries or ESC using this set-up. The motor heat sink is a
must for both of these pinions. The cooling fan on the ESC
is a must to avoid cut outs. The ESC is only warm using the
Radio Shack fan. The fan is on when the motor battery is
plugged in. This motor has extreme power. ESC configuration
is using timing mode3 and governor mode with 9 kHz
switching. The transmitter has throttle curves as follows:
